Café del Mar je plážový bar nachádzajúci sa v Sant Antoni de Portmany na španielskom ostrove Ibiza. Je to populárna turistická letná destinácia známa západom Slnka. Bar otvorili Ramón Guiral, Carlos Andrea a José Les v roku 1978.

Hudba

Café del Mar vydáva albumy kompilácií zo skladbami vyberanými vlastnými DJmi z baru. Hudba je vyberaná tak, aby navodila pocit zážitku sledovania západu slnka. Skladby sú popisované ako ambientná, ľahko počúvateľná hudba. Pôvodne bar predával vlastné kazety s hudbou, neskôr pokračuje predávaním CD. Do roku 2007, bolo vydaných 14 albumov, viacero samostatných kompilácií a 2 albumy pripomínajúce 20. a 25. výročie. Celosvetovo bolo predaných približne 9 miliónov albumov.

Skladby na prvých 6 originálnych albumov boli vybrané José Padillom, ktorý často účinkoval v Café del Mar.

V lete 2005 Café del Mar oslávilo 25. výročie špieciálnym albumom a fetivalom na veľkom pódiu na pláži pri mori. Naživo hrali štyria hudobníci Café del Mar ktorí boli pozvaní: D.A.B. (Španielsko), Tom Oliver (Nemecko, tiež na CD 25th Anniversary CD), Paco Fernandez (Španielsko) and La Caina (Francúzsko).
