Cosmic Gate je nemecká trance dvojica, ktorú tvoria Claus Terhoeven (narodený 1972, ako Nic Chagall) a Stefan Bossems (1967, ako DJ Bossi). Hrajú trance, hard trance, tech trance.

Dejiny

Cosmic Gate bola založená v roku 1999, ich prvý singel bol "Exploration of Space" a ďalej "The Drums" ,"Mental Atmosphere". V remixe "Somewhere over the Rainbow" použili vzorky z populárneho filmu, "The Wizard of Oz". Avšak Cosmic Gate nebola tak známou až pokým vytvorili singel "Fire Wire" v roku 2001 vydaný vo Veľkej Británii.

Cosmic Gate vytvorili veľa remixov pre umelcov ako je DJ Tiësto (Urban Train), Ferry Corsten (Punk), Blank & Jones (DFF), Israel Kamakawiwoʻole (Somewhere Over The Rainbow), Svenson & Gielen (Answer the Question) a Vanessa-Mae (White Bird).

Počas posledných rokov sa zvuk Cosmic Gate zmenil z tvrdšieho trance na jemnejší, ale vždy energický hudobný štýl.
