Miesto narodenia je sporné, ja som v roku 2009 zmenil Hannover na Osnabrück, ale v súčasnosti všetky wikipédie okrem českej uvádzajú Hannover a na anglickej to odôvodňujú: The story that George I died in the same room as that in which he was born at Osnabrück (in, for example, Le Grand Dictionnaire Historique of 1759) is contradicted by the Electress Sophia in her Memoiren der Herzogin Sophie nachm. Kurfürstin von Hannover (ed. A. Köcher, Leipzig, 1879, pp. 1 and 68) who says that her two eldest sons were born at Hanover, and by four notifications from Hanover to the court at Wolfenbüttel preserved in the Wolfenbüttel state archives.[2]
