Mel & Kim bola britská dance-popová dvojica,[1] ktorá sa skladala zo sestier Melanie a Kim Appleby. Ich manažérom bol Alan Whitehead, pričom najväčší úspech dosiahla predovšetkým medzi rokmi 1986 až 1988. V januári 1990 Melanie, ktorej diagnostikovali rakovinu, zomrela vo veku 23 rokov.

Ich singel „Respectable“[2] obsadil 1. miesto v britskom rebríčku UK Singles Chart a americkom tanečnom rebríčku Hot Dance Club Play.[3] Medzi ich ďalšie hity patria skladby „Showing Out (Get Fresh at the Weekend)“ (1986), „F.L.M.“ (1987) a „That’s the Way It Is“ (1988).[2] V roku 1988 bola dvojica nominovaná na cenu Brit Award v kategórii Best British Breakthrough Act.
