Hello fellow Wikipedians[upraviť zdroj]

I've added the picture of the Jewish Holocaust memorial. I used "google translate" to translate the English version of the picture caption into Slovak, but, naturally, it should be better phrased. Please check what has to be corrected. (Dunajská Streda is the birth place of my father, and I visited this beautiful town in August 2009). Many thanks, Noon 14:44, 14. november 2009 (UTC)[odpovedať]

Thank you very much, Pescan! I've translated your update back to English (to understand it), and it looks very good to me. (my father was lucky enough to escape Europe before WWII and the Holocaust, because otherwise he would have been killed by the Nazis. He came back to Israel, our ancient homeland, from where we were expelled and exiled by the Romans almost 1,900 years ago. He kept telling me wonderful stories about Dunajská Streda and his life in this beautiful town. It meant to me a lot to visit this place this summer, and I was very sad to see that nothing was left from the strong community of many thousands of Jews living happily in this town before the war. I was very excited to see the very expressive and meaningful memorial you've built in the location where the main town's synagogue stood in the city center. The synagogue was destroyed by bombs during WWII). Thanks again, and I wish you all the best. Noon 22:34, 16. november 2009 (UTC)[odpovedať]
