Crypto Citizen

Crypto Citizen is a multi-genre game developed and published by Qorpo. This game is based on NFT technology with a play and earn model as the developers stated. Crypto Citizen includes 3 phases of its development that will be released one by one. The first one is a Drag Racing minigame, the second is a Fighting strategic turn-based game, and the last one and the most anticipated is an MMORPG(Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) game where players become citizens of the Metropolit city. In the city, there are 3 syndicates and they are currently at war and the player has to choose one of them to join. The whole game is set in a cyberpunk-styled world. Players will progress through a huge open world with 10 different districts, fighting other syndicates and making CCASH(cryptocurrency). There will also be the possibility to build various structures in the city and make some passive income out of it. The main goal will be to become the most wealthy and dominate the Metropolit.

The game is being developed using the Unity Game engine by a large team of over 100 people, while the team is still growing stronger every day. Qorpo is an international company focusing on connecting gaming with blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs. They are an NFT leader in central Europe currently building the most complete ecosystem in the NFT universe.

Gameplay[upraviť | upraviť zdroj]

Crypto Citizen combines features from racing games, Japanese RPGs, and massively multiplayer online genres across its four three playable modes. These modes, called development phases, provide different player experiences from one another. The Three phases, Drag races, Fights, and MMORPG, provide examples of gameplay features that would appear in the Persistent Metaverse, but also have their own mechanics.

Races[upraviť | upraviť zdroj]

At the start of the race, the player sets their “bonus” acceleration on a visual tachometer by pressing a button at a marked section while an indicator is moving back and forth across the dial of the “tachometer”. If the section is hit, this adds acceleration.

The car’s base acceleration is given by the car's Acceleration attribute. The tachometer marked section is at 80% of the max tachometer RPM.

In the second part of the race, the player has to shift gears while speeding up. A visually different tachometer with a green marked section appears on the screen, as the car’s speed increases indicator goes up (pointer’s speed depends on the car’s acceleration) Player wants to press the “shift gear” button at the exact moment when the indicator points to the marked section (good shift) that’s when the car continues to speed up on the next shift. If the marked section is not hit, the car's acceleration decreases with the next shift.

All cars have default 7 gears therefore the player can shift only 6 times during one race, when shifted to the last gear, the car will slowly reach its maximal speed and continue racing at a constant velocity.

When the marked section is missed at the acc. tachometer, nothing is added to the car’s acceleration and the base value of the attribute is used for the race. When the marked section is missed at the shift-tachometer, acceleration is stopped for a given number of seconds depending on the difference between the marked value and hit value.

Fights[upraviť | upraviť zdroj]

In a battle, two players play against each other by taking turns with fighter actions (attack, defense) from their team of fighters or bosses. A team of fighters consists of 3 fighters that the player chooses from their inventory of NFTs (they can have different classes and levels).

During one turn each fighter gets a chance to use a fighter action if he has enough energy for it when he is on the turn. There are various types of skills and items to be used. Each of them needs a different amount of energy depending on how rare or strong it is. The more energy the skill or item consumes the stronger the effect is.

The order of fighter actions in one turn is determined by the fighters speed. The winner is the one to get all of the opposing fighters to 0 HP the first.

If no one wins until the 10th round, the player with the highest overall HP of his fighters or with the majority of his fighters remaining wins.

MMORPG[upraviť | upraviť zdroj]

The gameplay includes basic open-world games features. You will be looking at your character from the third person. The game will have sandbox features including vehicles that players can drive, world PVP, and much more. The world will be split into 10 playable instances/zones. The game will feature a refined economy system. The core idea of the gameplay is to become as wealthy as possible and gain supremacy over the city. To do this you have to buy properties, build factories, skyscrapers, etc… All of these can make you a big profit if you are able to manage them well.

The sandbox aspect of the game will allow you to explore the world with your friends and do whatever you want to do.

One of the main features of the game will be a citizen ranking. Each player will have his citizen rank in the range from 1-10 (10 is best). A higher citizen ranking will allow you to access more content in the game, makes rare nfts in the world more visible to you, gets you special NFT drops and will give you higher priority when voting.

There is also a limit to playing in the world. The stay in the metaverse costs you energy and your avatar needs to rest. To get more energy for more playtime you have to own more or better NFTs of higher values.

Quests

There will be multiple quests in each leveling zone. The game will include story quests, side quests (PVP and PVE). The story quests are only for solo playthroughs. Side quests will be split into two categories. PVP and PVE quests. PVP quests will be focused on players participating in PVP events and minigames while PVE sidequests will guide you to fight NPCs or complete various tasks in the open world. Both of these quest types will be highly replayable. The main focus will be on the PVP aspect.

Leveling

Leveling will be based on the player's XP. For each quest, activity, event, basically anything the player completes he will be rewarded with XP and in-game currency. For this currency, he will be able to buy any game asset in the store (weapons, clothes, vehicles, land, etc.). For better gear player also needs higher level and citizen rank. This will help him progress higher in the game.

Economy

The economy will be mainly driven by land purchases, buildings, and players trading the game assets with each other. There will be a marketplace where anyone can create listings of their assets. For creating a listing you will have to pay a fee and also pay tax for trading.

Players will make money by progressing in the story, completing side quests, joining various events, fighting in PVP, and mainly out of their own in-game businesses.

Every player that wants to spend some time on your land has to pay you a tax for doing activities on your property.

The owner of the property chooses how high are the taxes for staying on his land and using his services.

Services

All the players will be able to begin their own business in the Metropolit. To start this business you will have to meet certain conditions such as holding CyberCash or owning certain assets. The quality of your services will depend on your citizen rank and the location of the business. The higher in society you will get the better services you can provide.

The lands that players can buy are blockchain-backed virtual tokens representing physical parcels of the Metaverse. All the lands will have premade streets and boulevards. Players will have to buy the lands and build whatever they want on them. In more expensive zones there will be lands with a few small buildings. Those small buildings are being sold separately. You can buy either only the land or land with a building on it. Players can rebuild them into some factories or rent them to other players. The buildings on your land can be bought later and then you can use them. The same goes for lands with skyscrapers in the center of the city.

Districts

There will be 10 leveling districts to playthrough. Every district includes various zones, each with different gameplay features. The player will progress all the way from the distant Outerlands to the Downtown of Metropolit. Each distric will be visually specific.

Outerlands - This district is a starting location of the game and it is a place at the very end of the Metropolit borders. It's in the last place in the economic hierarchy. People here work in mines to get rare minerals or in oil towers.

Vaporvawes - This district is a second location of the game. It is an entry point to the streets of Metropolit. After the players were fighting their way out of the Outerlands the next are the Vaporwaves, to test players' skills to survive in the unhealthy community of all kinds of people that live here.

South Moon - It is the underground of the Metropolit city. The majority of the district are sewers. South Moon got polluted by large corporations and their factories that were sinking toxic waste to the sewers. This created the worst conditions for life imaginable.

Whaleland - Whaleland is very distinct from other districts mainly because of its outdated almost soviet architecture. The people here live in panel houses and some of them are made just out of a few metal plates barely holding together. Players will get to explore its streets, and meet people that live here after they survive in toxic sewers.

Decentral Plaza - This place is home to all the gamblers of Metropolit city. The reason is simple. There are hundreds of casinos, nightclubs, bars, strip clubs, brothels, or shady places to lose money.

Eastern Bots - Eastern Bots is a bit step back for players considering the economic point of view. Fun and social life will be replaced by adrenaline. The majority of people living here are of Asian origin. Due to slight differences in Asian cultures, it makes them hate each other. There are always fights going on in the streets which makes citizens of this district scared for their lives.

The Shills - This district is made to be enjoyed as a quiet place. Players will have a chance here to appreciate other aspects of the game than just the meaningless killing and fighting. This district is a more futuristic part of Metropolit city. It's a perfect home for wealthier families.

Cyberwood - Cyberwood is a great place to get into the show business and get some really useful contacts. This district consists only of family houses and large villas spreading all over the hills of Metropolit all in very futuristic, modern architecture.

Meta Square - TThe most technically advanced district of the whole city. This is where the futuristic lifestyle took over. The environment consists mostly of research labs and various technological facilities.

Central Business District - Central Business District is an unhealthily rich place full of corporations that are controlling the whole city. This place represents a peak of the Metropolit city communities. Almost everyone is dreaming about reaching this place.

Story[upraviť | upraviť zdroj]

The city of Metropolit is a futuristic city in the year 2101 that has been largely taken over by big corporations after a technological revolution.

These corporations have taken control over a wide range of areas, such as weapons, robotics, pharmaceuticals, and communications and most of them operate above the law.

This has pushed many individuals with no family fortune nor corporate connections into the streets with no way of getting a decent job. It's up to you to take the fate of Metropolit into your hands. [[Kategória:Hry]] {{DEFAULTSORT:Crypto Citizen}}
