Ako zmazať duplikát stránky

Pri upravovani wiki som narazil na dve stranky s podobym obsahom, z ktorych jedna stranka bola spracovana obsiahlejsie ako ta druha. Ide o text o vodnom toku 'Blatina' ktory ma v lokalite od Svateho Jura az po koniec obce Zalesie regulovany tok. Tato regulovana cast sa nazyva Sursky kanal (bol umelo vytvoreny a zregulovany). Preto by som odporucil zmenit aj samotny nazov stranky - ak by sa wiki admini rozhodli ze ponechaju len jednu z tych dvoch stranok, bolo by dobre zmenit vyslednu stranku na Blatina (Šúrsky kanál)

Duplikat by teda bolo vhodne odstranit nech subezne nevznikaju dva texty. Ako na to? Tu su predmetne stranky - obsiahla stranka tu: Blatina_(prítok_Malého_Dunaja) a duplikat tu: Šúrsky_kanál 314 (diskusia) 13:46, 6. január 2019 (UTC)

@314:Ahoj, taký detail - prvý článok je o celom toku, druhý o jeho časti. Je to ako zmazať článok Hričovský kanál, pretože je tu článok Váh. Nie je to celkom identické, no možno by bolo vhodné uviesť tento súvis do úvodu.--Pe3kZA^✉ 15:04, 6. január 2019 (UTC)

Môj úmysel nebol mazať obsah, ale duplicitne vytvorenú stránku, ktorá v podstate žiadne nové info neprináša - a celkom logicky by mohla včleniť do lepšie rozpracovanej stránky, ktorý sa venuje celému toku r. Blatina. Teda v rámci Blatiny vytvoriť jednu kapitolu, kde by boli zahrnuté informácie o Šúrskom kanále. Stránky ktoré odkazujú na kanál by boli smerované na konkrétnu kapitolu danej stránky. 314 (diskusia) 16:13, 7. január 2019 (UTC)

• codesearch.wmflabs.org has been updated, with new and updated repositories and a new search options for code. [3]
• On several wikis, an account named "Filter zneužití" has been created on December 17 to perform some technical maintenance on AbuseFilter. This account has sysop rights but it's a system user and no human can use it. The account already existed on wikis where AbuseFilter can perform blocks, which are issued using this account. See T212268 for more information and future plans.

Problems

• In AbuseFilter, the "Obmedzenie" action takes three parameters: count, period and groups. They must now strictly respect the requirements listed on mediawiki.org. A list of broken filters is on Phabricator. If you're familiar with AbuseFilter, please take a look and fix them. [4]

Štatistiky

Rád by som aktualizoval tabuľku o jazykových verziách Wikipédie, no nevidím zmysel v okopírovaní aktuálnych štatistík z en wiki. Radšej by som to urobil tak, ako je to tam – použitím premenných NUMBEROFARTICLES, atď. Takto by aspoň nebola potrebná aktualizácia a údaje by boli vždy aktuálne. Akurát neviem, ako na sk wiki dostanem dáta z ostatných wiki – na en wiki to funguje napr. {{NUMBEROF|ARTICLES|cs}} pre českú wiki. Na našej slovenskej Wikipédii to však takto nefunguje. @Luky001: Aby tu fungovalo také volanie, museli by sme sem preniesť š. en:Template:NUMBEROF a následne (strojovo alebo pravidelne manuálne) preberať obsah en:Template:NUMBEROF/data. Robiť sa to dá, neviem ale, či ide z pohľadu skwiki o nejak pálčivú záležitosť.

Ďalšia vec potom je, že aj keď budeš do takýchto tabuliek a zoznamov vyplúvať údaje šablónou, poradie položiek sa automaticky meniť nebude, tzn. po nejakom čase nebude zoradenie korešpondovať s akt. hodnotami. --Teslaton (diskusia) 11:19, 11. január 2019 (UTC)

To viem, ale stále lepšie ako nič. Tiež som rozmýšlal nad použitím týchto údajov napr. do infoboxov pre stránky rôznych jazykových verzií Wikipédie. Ale kľudne to nechajme tak. Myslel som, že tieto veci sú nejako automaticky definované v MediaWiki. --Luky001 (diskusia) 11:28, 11. január 2019 (UTC)

Recent changes

• You can now use Google Translate in the content translation tool. [5][6]
• You can now add captions to files on Commons. Captions are short descriptions of the file. They can be translated to all languages we use. They can't use wikitext markup.
• Earlier a quoted HTML attribute had to be followed by a space. Now it doesn't. This means that some pages could look different when you save them even if you didn't edit that part of the text. [7][8]
• Templates with could not show the difference between the live template and the sandbox version when they were tested. This has now been fixed. has a new wrapper parameter now. You can use it for selectors like .mw-parser-output <wrapper parameter value> <selector from CSS page>. [9]

Problems

• When you see an edit in the recent changes feed or in the history of a page some of them have tags. Some tags are added automatically. You can also add tags manually. Tags for edits that have been added manually can be edited. This didn't work for a little while. This has now been fixed. [10]

Changes later this week

• You can move files from your wiki to Wikimedia Commons and keep the file history with the new FileExporter. It will be a beta feature on all wikis from 16 January. If you want to test it you activate it and check your wiki's configuration file.
• Users who could cause more damage to the wikis if someone took over their account have to have more secure passwords. This includes administrators and other user groups. They can't use passwords that are in a list of common passwords. Accounts with common passwords are easy to take over. The list of common passwords was made longer a few weeks ago and has a different error message. Some user groups have been added to those who can't use common passwords. This is to protect all accounts with user rights that could cause damage. [11]
• The AbuseFilter variable minor_edit has been removed. It was deprecated in 2016. Now you can't use it. You can fix the filters using it. You can find them if you use the search bar on Special:AbuseFilter.

• Some people did not get last week's issue of Tech News. This was because of a problem with MassMessage. If you did not get last week's issue, you can read it on Meta. [12]

Recent changes

• The content translation tool can now use version 2 as the default version for users who turned on the beta feature. For example it adds the tracking category Stránky s neskontrolovanými prekladmi to translations that might have used machine translations without fixing the problems. This is so others can find them. You can find this category in Special:TrackingCategories on Wikipedias.
• https://mediawiki2latex-large.wmflabs.org can now convert collects of up to 800 pages to PDF, EPUB or ODT. Previously this was 200 pages.

Problems

• When a template was edited with the visual editor, it would sometimes put all information on one line. This makes it difficult to read for editors who use the wikitext editor. It also makes it more difficult to see what happened in a diff. This problem affected edits made between 8 and 17 January and is now fixed. [13]
• MassMessage is used to post a message to many pages. It has not been working reliably. Some messages have not been posted to everyone. [14][15]
• Because of a database problem that had to be fixed immediately you could not edit most wikis for a couple of minutes on 17 January (UTC). This has now been fixed. [16]

Wikidáta pre súradnice do ib

Ahojte! Napadá mi či nepreprogramovať geografické infoboxy, aby ťahali súradnice z Wikidát. Chýbajú pri mestách, univerzitách atď, atď. :) --Jetam2 (diskusia) 19:24, 22. január 2019 (UTC)

Prekladač

No, musím po vyskúšaní s ľútosťou konštatovať, že zabudovaný prekladač vo wiki je IMHO prakticky k ničomu, s výnimkou toho ak človek neprekladá z češtiny do slovenčiny. Je jednoduchšie urobiť Ctrl+C a Ctrl+V s následným postupným "ručným" prekladom a vedľa otvoreným Google translatorom či iným pomocníkom. Hlavne to fušuje aj do zdrojov, ktoré je v absolútnej väčšine lepšie nechať v originále. Takže u mňa zatiaľ skôr nie, aj keď to má určitý potenciál. Chce to však podstatne viac nastavení a momentálne skôr láka k nezmyselným strojovým prekladom. Používa to niekto na iný jazyk ako češtinu a je s ním spokojný? (A nemyslím na nejaké 4-vetové články, ale na "veľké texty".) Že by prípadne dal nejaké rady... Smrtihlav (diskusia) 21:25, 23. január 2019 (UTC)

• The Wikimedia servers use HHVM to run the PHP code. They are going to use PHP7 and stop using HHVM. You can test PHP7 with a new beta feature. That way you can help find and report problems.

Problems

• When someone moves a page to a name that already exists that page that had the name the article is moved to is deleted. For a couple of months this didn't always work. Some users saw an error message instead. This has now been fixed. [18]

Šablóna:Klikateľné tlačidlo

Ahojte, mohli by ste mi prosím niekto pomôcť s touto šablónou? Je prebratá z českej Wikipédie, niektoré parametre sú preložené, ale čo je zaujímavé: keď upravujem šablónu v editori wikitextu a zobrazím náhľad, tlačidlá sa pekne zobrazujú tak, ako v českej verzii. No keď publikujem zmeny, zrazu sa nič nezobrazuje. Vie mi niekto poradiť, ako toto funguje, prípadne šablónu opraviť? Vopred ďakujem, --Luky001 (diskusia) 20:40, 4. február 2019 (UTC)

Zobrazovanie dátumu prístupu pri citovaní hesla z encykl./slovníka (harvard)

Postrehol som, že pokiaľ citujem heslo cez harvard tak, že pridávam URL na webovú verziu do položky URL, zobrazuje sa DátumPrístupu, napr.:

avšak keď URL pridám do položky URLHesla, už sa dátum prístupu nezobrazí, napr.:

Balážová, Ľubica; Bosák, Ján, edi. (2005), „biograf“, Slovník cudzích slov : akademický (2. dopln. a uprav. vyd.), Bratislava: Slovenské pedagogické nakladateľstvo – Mladé letá, ISBN 80-10-00381-6 .

V praxi ide o rovnakú šablónu, identický zápis. Chcelo by to zjednotiť, aby sa aj v druhom prípade zobrazoval dátum prístupu (radšej sa ale do toho sám nepúšťam). PS: Dátum prístupu som pôvodne ku knižným zdrojom, ktoré sú dostupné aj na internete (resp. prekopírované na internet bez úpravy) nedával, ale usúdil som, že to bude lepšie pre prípady, kedy by sa URL zmenilo, odkazovaná webová stránka zanikla a pod.--Lišiak_(diskusia) 11:51, 12. február 2019 (UTC)

Infoboxy v mobilnej verzii

Na SK wikipédii je zopár šablón-infoboxov, ktoré využívajú schopnosť rozbaliť/zbaliť istý zoznam, čo však na mobilnej verzii wiki nie je podporované. Napríklad infoboxy Šablóna:Infobox živočíchy, Šablóna:Infobox rastliny, Šablóna:Infobox huby toto využívajú v časti "Vedecká klasifikácia". Na mobilnej verzii wiki sa tak čitateľom v tejto časti zobrazí len prázdne pole. Podobný problém je aj s infoboxom Šablóna:Infobox Film v časti "Obsadenie". Dalo by sa to nejako rozumne vyriešiť? Roztiahnutý infobox

Na stránkach Okres Trenčín a Okres Považská Bystrica je veľmi roztiahnutý infobox kvôli nezmyslom v odstavci kraj. Keď však kliknem na "upraviť zdroj", tieto odkazy tam nenájdem. Nepozrel by sa na to niekto prosím? --Reacoon (diskusia) 10:03, 24. február 2019 (UTC)

Údržba serverů.

Ahoj všem, krátké oznámení. 19. března v 15:00 UTC bude slovenská Wikipedie krátkodobě pouze v módu pro čtení. To znamená, že Wikipedii budete moci číst, ale ne editovat. Bude to způsobeno údržbou serverů, která by měla trvat asi 15 minut, pravděpodobně méně. Recent changes

• Pages can use geocoordinates from Wikidata with the mw.wikibase.entity:formatStatements Lua function or the #statements parser function. If they do, they will now be shown using a Kartographer <maplink> if the wiki can use Kartographer. You can report bugs or ask questions on Phabricator.
• There is now an EventStream to see when links are added or removed on Wikimedia wikis. You can read the discussions and plans.

Problems

• Some wikis will not be able to edit for a short period of time on 19 March (UTC). This will start at 15:00 UTC. It will last up to 15 minutes but probably shorter. You can see the list of affected wikis. This is because of network maintenance. You can still read the wikis.
• Editors who use Firefox to edit with the visual editor had a problem with copying text. When they tried to select text that included footnotes, templates or block images in the middle they would often only get part of the text. This has now been fixed. [26]
• Some maps didn't work for a while on 8 March. This has been fixed. [27][28]

• When you use rollback you will be able to get a confirmation prompt on most wikis. It asks you if you wanted to do the rollback. This is to avoid misclicks. You will have to opt in to get it. On German Wikipedia it will be an opt-out feature from 28 March. [29][30]

• Toolforge will shut down the Ubuntu Trusty job grid. This will happen the week of 25 March. Tools that use this grid needs to be moved to the new Debian Stretch job grid. If they haven't, they will be taken offline. Maintainers can restart the tools later. Users may not be able to use them in the meanwhile. You can see a list of affected tools.

• The new version of the content translation tool will be used for all new translations. The older version will still be used for translations that were started with it. Most users won’t see any change. More than 80% of the published translations are already using the new version. [32]

Problems

• There was a problem with editing with Safari on iOS. When you wrote an edit summary you couldn't save the edit. This has now been fixed. [33]
• The editing toolbar sometimes disappears when you scroll on iOS devices. This will be fixed soon. [34]
• Wikis can over-ride interface messages on-wiki. A problem meant that sometimes an old versions of any changed messages were shown instead. This included the sitenotice and other important parts of the interface. This was fixed at around 2019-03-22 16:00 (UTC). Logged-out users may still get the wrong message. Purging the page should fix it for them. [35]

• You will be able read but not edit most wikis for 30 minutes on 11 April at 05:00 (UTC). This is because of a hardware problem. You can see a list of the affected wikis. [39]

Multilingual Shared Templates and Modules

Hello sk-wiki community! (Pomôžte prosím s prekladom do svojho jazyka)

I recently organized a project to share templates and modules between wikis. It allows modules and templates to be “language-neutral”, and store all text translations on Commons. This means that it is enough to copy/paste a template without any changes, and update the translations separately. If someone fixes a bug or adds a new feature in the original module, you can copy/paste it again without any translation work. My bot DiBabelYurikBot can help with copying. This way users can spend more time on content, and less time on updating and copying templates. Please see project page for details and ask questions on talk page.

• The content translation tool on Wikipedia can use machine translations. There is a system to stop translations where the editors do not fix machine translation mistakes. This warns or stops them if they seem to just copy what the machine translation gives them. If this system is too strict or not strict enough you can tell the language team. [68]
• The Wikidata wbeditentity API endpoint will remove all aliases if the request includes an empty alias. This is how it supposed to work. It has not been working this way because of a bug. This will start on 12 June. [69]

• When you create a PDF from a page on the wiki this is now done by Proton. Before this we used Electron. It should look the same but work better. Both use Chromium. This is a different system from when you collect several articles into a book and make a PDF from them. [78][79]
• The Flagged Revisions extension now uses the standard OOUI icons. There will be additional minor fixes for positioning in the next deployment. [80]
• Bots and other scripts that do not set an identifiable User-Agent may find their requests strictly rate-limited until they identify themselves properly. [81]

Wikidata Bridge: edit Wikidata’s data from Wikipedia infoboxes

Hello all,

Many language versions of Wikipedia use the content of Wikidata, the centralized knowledge base, to fill out the content of infoboxes. The data is stored in Wikidata and displayed, partially or completely, in the Wikipedia’s language, on the articles. This feature is used by many template editors, but brought several issues that were raised by communities in various places: not being able to edit the data directly from Wikipedia was one of them.

This is the reason why the Wikidata Bridge project started, with the goal of offering a way to Wikipedia editors to edit Wikidata’s data more easily. This will be achieved by an interface, connected to the infobox, that users can access directly from their local wiki.

The project is now at an early stage of development. A lot of user research has been done, and will continue to be done through the different phases of the project. The next steps of development will be achieved by the development team working at Wikimedia Deutschland, starting now until the end of 2019.

In order to make sure that we’re building a tool that is answering editors’ needs, we’re using agile methods in our development process. We don’t start with a fixed idea of the tool we want to deliver: we will build it together with the editors, based on feedback loops that we will regularly organize. The first version will not necessarily have all of the features you want, but it will keep evolving.

Here’s the planned timeline:

• From June to August, we will build the setup and technical groundwork.
• From September to November 2019, we will develop the first version of the feature and publish a test system so you can try it and give feedback.
• Later on, we will test the feature on a few projects, in collaboration with the communities.
  • We will first focus on early adopters communities who already implemented a shortcut from their infoboxes to edit Wikidata (for example Russian, Catalan, Basque Wikipedias)
  • but we also welcome also communities who volunteer to be part of the first test round.
  • Then we will reach some of the big Wikipedias (French, German, English) in order to see if the project scales and to address their potentially different needs.
  • Even later, we can consider enabling the feature on all the other projects.

In any case, no deployment or big change will be enforced on the projects without talking to the communities first, and helping the template builders to prepare for the changes they will have to do on the infoboxes’ code.

Veľa jazykových verzií Wikipédie používa obsah Wikiúdajov, centralizovanej základne vedomostí, na vyplnenie obsahu infoboxov. Údaju sú uložené na Wikiúdajoch a čiastočne alebo celkovo zobrazené v článkoch v jazyku Wikipédie. Táto funkcia je využívaná množstvom šablónových redaktorov, no priniesla niekoľko problémov, ktoré boli vyzdvihnuté komunitami na rôznych miestach: jedným z nich bola nemožnosť upravovať údaje priamo z Wikipédie.

To je dôvodom, prečo začal projekt Wikidata Bridge (Most Wikiúdajov) s cieľom ponúknutia možnosti redaktorom Wikipédie upravovať údaje Wikiúdajov jednoduchšie. Toto bude dosiahnuté rozhraním prepojeným s infoboxom, ktoré bude dostupné priamo z lokálnelnej wiki.

Projekt je momentálne v rannej fáza vývoja. Uskutočnilo sa veľa používateľského výskumu, ktorý bude pokračovať počas rôznych fáz projektu. Ďalšie kroky vývoja budú podniknuté vývojovým tímom vo Wikimedii Deutschland, ktoré začínajú teraz a budú trvať do konca roka 2019.

Aby sme si boli istí, že vytvárame nástroj, ktorý reflektuje potreby používateľov, používame v našom vývojovom procese živé metódy. Nezačíname fixným nápadom nástroja, ktorý chceme pripraviť: vytvoríme ho spolu s editormi, založený bude na cykloch spätnej väzby, ktoré budeme pravidelne organizovať. Prvá verzia nebude mať všetky funkcie, ktoré chcete, ale bude sa vyvíjať.

Tu je plánovaný časový harmonogram:

• Od júna do augusta budeme vytvárať nastavenie a technické základy.
• Od septembra do novembra budeme vyvíjať prvú verziu nástroja a publikujeme testovací systém, takže budete môcť nástroj vyskúšať a poskytnúť nám spätnú väzbu.
• Neskôr budeme nástroj testovať na pár projektoch v spolupráci s komunitami.
  • Najskôr sa zameriame na komunity, ktoré už implementovali odkaz z ich infoboxov na úpravu Wikiúdajov (napríklad ruská, katalánska a baskická Wikipédia)
  • tiež však privítame komunity, ktoré sa prihlásia, aby boli súčasťou prvého kola.

@Nelliette: Ak myslíš niečo na spôsob, že Ti to zoradí zoznam podľa abecedy, „šablónou“ sa to asi nedá dosiahnuť, max. nejakým modulom alebo špeciálnym nástrojom. Takým nástrojom (ľahko spustiteľným) je napr. editor wikEd, ktorý si môžeš spustiť v Nastaveniach (sekcia Nástroje → Editačné nástoje), funkcia sa v paneli volá „sort alphabetically“ a má rovnakú ikonku ako vo Worde.

Ďalšou možnosťou je skopírovať zoznam do nejakého textového editora (napr. Word, Notepad++, PSPad), tam to zoradiť pomocou dostupnej funkcie a skopírovať späť. --TomášP ✉ 13:08, 26. jún 2019 (UTC)

Vyhľadávanie a diakritika

Ahojte! Počas Hackathonu som zabrdol do témy search boxu: keď vyhľadám "Sibenik" tak mi nenájde "Šibenik". Záchranou býva prepojenie na Wikidáta. @TJones (WMF): inicioval úlohu na Phabrikátore na preskúmanie vplyvu zmenenia nastavenia diakritiky vo vyhľadávaní. Nejaké poznámky? Ano, znaky v termoch by mali byť (na strane indexera aj lookupu) normalizované mapovacou tabuľkou, ktorá minimálne rôzne varianty rovnakých základných znakov latinky premapuje na ASCII variant (tzn. áâăąäćçčďđëéěęíîĺľłńňöóőôŕřśşšťţüúůűýżźž → aaaaacccddeeeeiilllnnoooorrsssttuuuuyzzz). Tak sa štandardne implementuje fulltextové vyhľadávanie pre slovenské prostredie, resp. všeobecne pre jazyky s abecedou založenou na latinke. Sorry to reply in English. (@Jetam2, Teslaton: please help correct any misunderstandings!) @Pe3kZA: only letters that are part of Slovak alphabet are unchanged. So áâăąäćçčďđëéěęíîĺľłńňöóőôŕřśşšťţüúůűýżźž → áaaaäccčďdeéeeíiĺľlnňoóoôŕrssšťtuúuuýzzž, and specifically, Ł→L and Ř→R. So, searching for Řevnice and Revnice give the same results. Do you have any examples with unusual letters that don't behave like you want them to? Searching for žiak and ziak give different results (1941 results versus 4 results) because ž is a Slovak letter. @TJones (WMF): Both ziak and žiak should return same results (whether ranked differently – preferring exact matches – that would be better, or not), there is no need to treat parts of Slovak alphabet differently than any other accentent latin chars. This is the way most fine-tuned FTI implementations work in Slovak environment. Few examples: FTS at SME, major Slovak newspaper, also returns the same matches for Sturovo and Štúrovo. And even Google would match žiak skwiki article when searching for ziak (at least with Slovak language preferrence via settings or browser Accept-Language header). --Teslaton (diskusia) 17:48, 3. jún 2019 (UTC)

@Jetam2, Teslaton, Pe3kZA: I've finished my initial analysis of enabling diacritic folding for Slovak characters. It interacts with the stemming and does undesirable things. More details are on Phabricator and the full write up—with many examples to review—is on MediaWiki. I'd appreciate help reviewing the examples. I'd also like to invite @Starekolena: and @Oldknee: to join the discussion, since they helped last time looking at the original implementation of the stemmer. I think we can fix the new problems by moving the folding to be after the stemming, but I didn't have time to look into it yet. I'll be out of the office for two weeks, so I'll look into it the first week of July. Any comments you have on the current examples would be very much appreciated. Thank you for looking into this. I responded in English in Phabricator so will respond in Slovak here. Kľúčové zistenie je, že čitatelia hľadajú bez diakritiky a teda takého hľadanie očakávajú. Otázka je teda skôr ako ho implementovať než či ho implementovať. Bolo by, ale fajn keby sa mohli vyjadriť ďalší ľudia. Ono, na druhej strane, teraz to už funguje pri zhodách vo wikidátach. Ak dám hľadať napr. "presov", tak prvé výsledky na našej wiki sú Aiseau-Presles a podobne. Ak sa pýtaš na používateľské návyky, tak môj osobný názor:

1. Vyhľadávanie bez diakritiky a s diakritikou by malo vypluť rovnaké výsledky
2. Vyhľadávanie by nemalo byť ovplyvňované gramatickými chybami (Bojnycký zámok a Bojnický zámok by malo vyhľadať identické výsledky)

Sorry for the delay getting back to this—I had some unexpected things that had to be taken care of. I believe putting the stemming before the folding gives us something we can work with. There are still cases where words are treated differently based on their diacritics, but overall the situation is closer to the desired outcome than before. I still need speaker review of the changes, starting here. @Jetam2, Teslaton, Pe3kZA, Starekolena, Oldknee: and any others who want to are invited to review. Zoznamy pamiatok

Ahojte! Ako sa nám blíži Wiki miluje pamiatky bolo by fajn urobiť pár technických vecí. V roku 2017 sme začali úlohu na Phrabricatore na presun zoznamov pamiatok na Wikidáta. Bolo by dobré túto žiadosť oprášiť. Premiestniť dáta na Wikidáta má svoje výhody hlavne z hľadiska využitia nástrojov pri WLM. šablóna galéria

Ahoj, myslím že tu bude najlepšie sa opýtať, je možné/existuje nejaký kód aby sa obrázky v šablóne galéria zobrazovali pod sebou a nie v prepínaní (t.j. v tom jednom okienku)? V editore sa mi tak obrázky (pozdĺž texta) ukazovali a vcelku sa mi to tak pozdávalo - konkrétne v Šesťmestie. Vopred ďakujem za odpoveď! Recent releases

The mobile visual editor is a simpler editing tool, for smartphones and tablets using the mobile site. The Editing team recently launched two new features to improve the mobile visual editor:

1. Section editing
   • The purpose is to help contributors focus on their edits.
   • The team studied this with an A/B test. This test showed that contributors who could use section editing were 1% more likely to publish the edits they started than people with only full-page editing.
2. Loading overlay
   • The purpose is to smooth the transition between reading and editing.

Section editing and the new loading overlay are now available to everyone using the mobile visual editor.

New and active projects

This is a list of our most active projects. Watch these pages to learn about project updates and to share your input on new designs, prototypes and research findings.

• Edit cards: This is a clearer way to add and edit links, citations, images, templates, etc. in articles. You can try this feature now. Go here to see how: 📲 Try Edit Cards.
• Mobile toolbar refresh: This project will learn if contributors are more successful when the editing tools are easier to recognize.
• Mobile visual editor availability: This A/B test asks: Are newer contributors more successful if they use the mobile visual editor? We are collaborating with 20 Wikipedias to answer this question.
• Usability improvements: This project will make the mobile visual editor easier to use. The goal is to let contributors stay focused on editing and to feel more confident in the editing tools.

Looking ahead

• Wikimania: Several members of the Editing Team will be attending Wikimania in August 2019. They will lead a session about mobile editing in the Community Growth space. Talk to the team about how editing can be improved.
• Talk Pages: In the coming months, the Editing Team will begin improving talk pages and communication on the wikis.

Nový bot pre vloženie šablóny Autoritné údaje

Navrhujem niekomu - technickému redaktorovi - vytvoriť bota na vkladanie šablóny do článov "Autoritné údaje". Vďaka. --Nelliette (diskusia) 17:04, 25. júl 2019 (UTC)

Technicky to v princípe nie je veľký problém, no po pravde, mám v súčasnej podobe dosť averziu voči tej šablóne. Napriek tomu, že je mi jasný význam autoritných id v knihovníctve, pre bežného čiateľa ide o sadu bizarných ničnehovoriacich identifikátorov s ničnehovoriacimi štítkami, pričom navyše na cieľových odkazovaných aut. stránkach vo veľkej časti prípadov nič mimo trivialít nie je.

Esteticky by asi zniesla minimálne menší (navboxový) font a collapsovanie do jedného bloku s navboxami ako na enwiki. Veci by tiež pomohla prípadná existencia zmysluplnej slovenskej autority (na čo by mala predpoklady aj dáta napr. SNK, momentálne ale nemajú ani len skonsolidovanú evidenciu autorov tak, aby tam nemali duplicity a aby sa nemenili pri úmrtiach dotyčných, tzn. aby šlo o jedinečné identifikátory). Celkovo som voči nej z týchto dôvodov zatiaľ dosť zdržanlivý a nemám moc tendenciu ju do článkov nejak nadšene dopĺňať. --Teslaton (diskusia) 17:24, 25. júl 2019 (UTC)

Chápem, slovenská časť nie je pripravená. No sú tam zahraničné knižnice, ktoré môžu a aj to robia, poskytovať údaje pre porovnanie v článkoch prevzatých do slov. wiki. Vyskúšala som to na viacerých svojich článkoch. Treba to preklikať. Ja si to ešte budem prečesávať. ahoj. --Nelliette (diskusia) 21:37, 25. júl 2019 (UTC)

Need help reviewing changes to Slovak language analysis for searching

I'm posting a new message here to bring more attention to the discussion. The previous discussion is here, and the Phabricator ticket is T223787. I'm trying to re-enable searching for Slovak wikis that ignores diacritics. I need someone who speaks Slovak to review the changes to how words are grouped together for search. Nefunkčné zverejňovanie prekladu

Po odklepnutí zverejniť preklad sa zobrazí ukladanie a nič viac. Zamrzne. To sa deje už dlhšie. Nedokážem zverejniť/uložiť na slovenskú Wikipédiu preklad.

Genealogická tabuľka (grafická)

ahoj, chcem do novopripravovaného článku chcem vložiť prehľadnú genealogickú tabuľku grófov (grafický rodokmeň, viď obrázok), no potýkam sa s problémom zobrazovania. Kód vzorovej tabuľky som skúšal vložiť cez "Upraviť kód" v hornej časti stránky, no keď som sa pokúšal zobraziť náhľad, tak tento kód wikipedia nespracovala do grafickej podoby ale zobrazuje ho naďalej ako kôd. @TomášPolonec: táto šablóna by bola skvelá, no dala by sa prestaviť na zvislo, tj tak, aby zakaldajúci panovník v celej línii bol úplne navrchu a jeho potomkovia (mladší príbuzní) by sa pridávali pod neho?

@314r:Šablóna funguje v princípe ako tabuľka, kde sa pridávajú polia (zaberajúce tri „sloty“) a čiary rôznych tvarov (každá reprezentovaná nejakým znakom). Nie som si celkom istý, ako si presne predstavuješ ten príklad, ale ak to chápem správne, tak nejako takto (pozri si kód pre lepšie pochopenie):

Problems

• Some abuse filters stopped working because of a code change. Only variables for the current action will work. Variables defined inside a branch may not work outside of that branch. You can read more to see how to fix the filters.
• Only six accounts can be created from one IP address per day. Between 12 August and August 15 this was two accounts per day. This was because of a security issue. It is now six accounts per day again. [115]

• Only a limited number of accounts can be created from one IP address. An IP address can be whitelisted so that it can create as many accounts as needed. This is useful at events where many new persons learn to edit. IP addresses that are whitelisted for this reason will also not show CAPTCHAs when you create accounts. This will happen on Wednesday. Konzultácia k migrácii pamiatok na Wikiúdaje

Zdar. Na návrh Jetam2a a VINGERONa na Wikimánii momentálne migrujem údaje o slovenských pamiatkach zo zoznamov tu na skwiki na Wikiúdaje. Na Wikimánii Jetam2 spravil testovaciu migráciu max 100 pamiatok, ja som dnes dokončil ďalšiu testovaciu dávku 100 pamiatok (ide o testy a obe dávky navrhnem na zmazanie). Pozrite si moju dávku.

Pár detailov:

• každá pamiatka bude mať svoju vlastnú položku na Wikiúdajoch
  • vrátane podpamiatok
• snažím sa aby pamiatky, ktoré na Wikiúdajoch už sú, mali obohatenú už existujúcu položku (teda nie tvoriť novú)
• VINGERON povedal, že takéto migrácie sa už diali (v súčasnosti asi tak 10 krát) a komunita to schvaľuje

Žiadam o pomoc: pozrite si prosím položky z mojej dávky, že čo si myslíte (zvážim v ostrej migrácii):

1. aký použiť štítok (hlavný názov)? doteraz používame priamo názov z Pamiatkového úradu, ale to je zvyčajne skôr názov kategórie ("kostol", "náhrobok"...)
2. čo hromadne (!) nastaviť ako vlastnosť je pre všetky pamiatky? typicky by to malo byť "kostol" pre kostol, "most" pre most atď, ale to neviem nastaviť hromadne; "kultúrna pamiatka" sa nehodí, lebo to nastavujem v pamiatkový status
3. vieme hromadne pre všetky pamiatky nastaviť nejaký popis a alias?
4. je nejaká vlastnosť, ktorú sme zabudli pridať? (mám ľahko dostupné tieto údaje)

Podľa možností by som ostrú migráciu rád spravil v piatok 30. augusta (áno, o 2 dni, ja viem, ale Wikimánia bola len prednedávnom, trochu dlhšie som z nej cestoval a bolo by fajn mať migráciu dokončenú ešte pred začiatkom WMP).

Ďalšími možnými krokmi (ak sa nájde dobrovoľník) môže byť:

1. aktualizácia podľa najnovších (statických) údajov z Pamiatkového úradu (PUSR po novom zverejňuje tabuľkové zoznamy) - obzvlášť vhodné kvôli zmene formátu identifikátoru...
2. nastavenie nejakého systému na automatickú aktualizáciu Wikiúdajov pri zmene v databáze PUSR (vraj zatiaľ nič také nie je plne k dispozícii, ale Česi na tom už pracujú)

Zdôrazňujem, že teraz robím len konzultáciu na inšpiráciu kvôli Wikiúdajom (komunita Wikiúdajov takéto importy schvaľuje). Úplne nezávislé bude rozhodnutie ako nové údaje z Wikiúdajov využijeme tu na slovenskej Wikipédii. --KuboF Hromoslav (diskusia) 20:04, 28. august 2019 (UTC)

Ahoj, zatiaľ takto:

1. Použiť čisto názov z PÚ podľa môjho názoru nie je vhodné, má to v tomto kontexte nulovú výpovednú hodnotu. Pri 1000+ položkách „náhrobok“ sa človek asi ťažko vysomári, ktorý z nich sa nachádza v Hornej Dolnej, ktorá ho práve pri hľadaní zaujíma.
2. Určite nie „kultúrna pamiatka“, to je príliš všeobecné. Pokiaľ by sa to dalo rozlíšiť strojovo, určite kostol pre kostoly a pod. Možno to bude pracnejšie, ale radšej raz a poriadne, ako to potom opravovať.
3. Aliasy neviem, ale popisy som hromadne pred časom pridával. Používal som na to poloautomatický nástroj, ktorý pridáva popisy na základe SPARQL Query. Pokiaľ teda dáme napr. parameter je kostol, krajina Slovensko atď., vieme hromadne popridávať popisy všetkým položkám zodpovedajúcim týmto kritériám. Môžeme skonzultovať konkrétnejšie neskôr.
4. Zatiaľ mi nič nenapadlo.

To asi vieš, ale momentálne nepremigruješ všetky súčasné položky, keďže zoznamy na wiki neboli aktualizované. Chýbajúce položky bude treba dobudúcna pridať na Wikiúdaje tiež.

Ahoj KuboF, redaktor Luky ma vyzval, aby som sa vyjadril k tomu definovaniu názvov národných kultúrnych pamiatok. Nemal som veľmi času zamyslieť sa hlbšie, ale ak by sa dalo, tak by som k tým všeobecným názvom (udávaným v druhom stĺpci našich zoznamov NKP) ako: "meštiansky dom", prípadne "kostol", prípadne "náhrobok". pridal aspoň názov lokality, napr.: "Banská Bystrica - meštiansky dom". Každá pamiatka má svoje špecifické identifikačné číslo priradené Pamiatkovým úradom SR, možno ak by sa dalo priradiť k názvu ešte toto číslo??? Teda v takejto podobe: "Banská Bystrica - meštiansky dom - ID 601-2330/0". Hmm? K ďalším trom otázkam sa neviem vyjadriť, resp. nemám dostatočné technické poznatky a skúsenosti, aby som mohol zmysluplne poradiť. --Armin (diskusia) 14:28, 30. august 2019 (UTC)

Súhlasím s Arminom až na tie identifikačné čísla, tie sú totiž v samostatnom parametri. Keď tam bude názov obce, bude to prehľadnejšie. Ešte nejaké nápady:

• Kostoly majú svoje zasvätenie (napr. Nanebovzatia Panny Márie), čiže to je ich názov, ku ktorému možno pridať mesto/obec.
• Niektoré meštianske stavby majú svoj osobitný názov (napr. Andrássyho palác), tie ktoré nemajú, by som dal len ako "Meštiansky dom v obec/mesto" resp. "Meštiansky dom na [xy] ulici/námestí v obec/mesto".

1. pri kostoloch zasvätenie, resp. názov cirkvi v zátvorke (Kostol evanjelický atď.) Názov lokality by som dával do zátvorky (podobne ako by to malo byť pri rozlišoovačkách (Arminov návrh mi skôr evokuje mestskú časť).
2. čo tak niečo ako "pamiatkový objekt"?

4. začiatok pamiatkovej ochrany?

Obrázok sa nenačítal?

Ahoj, mám drobný problém, pridal som na wiki commons obrázok a následne jeho novšiu verziu...V náhľade mi aj ukazuje novú verziu, no po rozkliknutí a v Commons mi zobrazuje starú verziu...Je to o čase, t.j. že sa zmeny prejavia po čase, alebo to je nejaká chyba? Ide o File:Nitrianske údelné vojvodstvo.jpg...Ak chcem znovu nahrať obnovený obrázok, tak mi píše že to nejde, lebo ide o duplikát..(Rozdiel medzi tým čo je zobrazené a obrázkom je farba a nejaké drobnosti, skutočnú farbu môžete vidieť na stránke Nitrianske kniežatstvo v náhľade na stránke, no hneĎ po rozkliknutí sa zobrazí pôvodný obrázok. Ďakujem za pomoc!

Index súradníc článkov a súvisiace funkcionality

Zdravím. Vďaka dnešnej snahe nemeckého kolegu DB111 (de) nám na skwiki po doladení funguje indexovanie súradníc (zatiaľ primárnych) z článkov pomocou rozšírenia GeoData. Umožňuje to okrem iného veci ako:

• Špeciálne:V okolí – zobrazenie článkov o geograficky blízkych lokalitách. Buď pre aktuálnu polohu z prehliadača (default, zvlášť praktické na mobiloch, funguje myslím aj z mobilných wikičítačiek) alebo pre ľubovoľné súradnice, odovzdané cez URL [142].
• zobrazenie opolohovaných skwiki článkov na mape [143]
• dotazovanie článkov v definovanom okolí pomocou geospatial queries API [144] (+ ďalšie typy dotazov viď [145])
• dotazovanie pomocou SQL [146] (filter podľa súradníc nie je efektívny, keďže rozšírenie využíva na WMF projektoch externý spatial index, no na jednorazové veci to použiteľné je, zvlášť na dátach z malých wiki)
• export súradníc v normalizovanej podobe do HTML kódov stránok
• a ďalšie podľa potrieb a kreativity...

Nejaký čas môže trvať, kým sa index komplet naplní (podobne ako v prípade novej automatickej kategorizácie, zahŕňajúcej mnoho stránok). --Teslaton (diskusia) 19:53, 21. október 2019 (UTC)

Tie české URL treba poslovenčiť a to nielen v tomto prípade, zatiaľ som však nezistil ako... Začal som z času na čas prekladať rozhranie a zistil som, že došlo k nekonzistencii názvov V blízkosti a V okolí - prvotne to bolo V blízkosti a ja som zvyšok preložil V okolí. Rozhranie som minulý týždeň zjednotil na V blízkosti podľa pôvodného prekladu (nearby je v blízkosti, v okolí by bolo skôr around). Už len počkať, kým sa to prejaví aj tu na wiki... Snáď budú tie preklady v budúcnosti nasadzované skutočne tak, ako translatewiki.net FAQ stránka hovorí, a to do 24 hodín. --Luky001 (diskusia) 19:36, 23. október 2019 (UTC)

Mne občasná čeština v rozhraní nejak moc žily netrhá, podobne ako predtým angličtina, je to pre mňa low-priority vtákovina. Čo sa týka tvaru, ja osobne by som tam dal „v okolí“, je to kratšie a minimálne rovnako výstižné (ak nie výstižnejšie). --Teslaton (diskusia) 19:41, 23. október 2019 (UTC)

Čo sa týka prekladov URL identifikátorov špeciálnych stránok, dotyčný zdroják je [147], aj keď neviem, či tam sú aj identifikátory stránok jednotlivých rozšírení (pretože napr. ekv. Special:Nearby tam nie je, podobne ani v cs a nie je ani medzi lokalizačnými reťazcami v zdrojákoch samotného rozšírenia [148]). Akým procesom sa tam preklady dostávajú by snáď mohol vedieť napr. Martin Urbanec. Na TW myslím nie sú (minimálne nie v tej podobe, v akej sú v tých I18N definíciách). --Teslaton (diskusia) 20:10, 23. október 2019 (UTC)

@Teslaton: Pripravil som preložený zoznam, Mobilní citace (vyznačené tučným) som preložil bez kontextu, keďže som sa nedostal na príslušnú špeciálnu stránku. Keď tak skontroluj, prípadne pouprav a môžeš nahrať patch:

@Luky001: Nejaké pozn.:

• doterajšie sk identifikátory špeciálnych stránkok dodržiavali CamelCase z pôvodných anglických, viď [149]. Je preto otázne, či je dobré takto ad-hoc v prípade jednej sady prechádzať na inú formu, tzn. Sentence case s medzerami (a ak áno, tak V okolí tam rovnako patrí s podčiarnikom; doplnil som). Ak ale zavádzať Sentence case, patrilo by sa ho doplniť aj do [150] (a doterajšie CamelCase tvary ponechať ako alternatívne, aby bola zachovaná URL kompatibilita). Rovnako by sa ako alternatívy dali doplniť plain ASCII tvary (bez diakritiky), podobne ako majú na cs [151].
• čo sa týka uploadu patchov, treba požiadať niekoho, kto má konto na Gerrite (ja to nie som), prípadne cez Phabricator.

@Teslaton: Pokojne môžeme zachovať CamelCase, ja som len nemal informáciu o tom, ako to doteraz fungovalo, preto som to preložil podľa českého. Čo sa týka momentálnej situácie, používali sa doteraz dvojtvary (s a bez diakritiky) alebo len s diakritikou? Ahoj, všimol som si (a nie sám), že občas mi v "náhľadovom" editore nejde presúvať obrázky... (zvyknem si ich najprv tam naštylizovať a následne doladiť v kóde)...neviete, či môže ísť o nejaký bug wikipédie alebo je chyba v mojom prehliadači (používam Mozilu), či niekde inde? Po reštarte programu mi už išli posúvať, občas sa ale situácia opakuje...O podobnom probléme mi hovoril aj Redaktor:Robert Jahoda. Dik za rady. Inside this newsletter, the Editing team talks about their work on the mobile visual editor, on the new talk pages project, and at Wikimania 2019.

Please tell us a story about how you used a talk page. Please share a link to a memorable discussion, or describe it on the talk page for this project. The team wants your examples. These examples will help everyone develop a shared understanding of what this project should support and encourage.

Talk pages project

The Talk Pages Consultation was a global consultation to define better tools for wiki communication. From February through June 2019, more than 500 volunteers on 20 wikis, across 15 languages and multiple projects, came together with members of the Foundation to create a product direction for a set of discussion tools. The Phase 2 Report of the Talk Page Consultation was published in August. It summarizes the product direction the team has started to work on, which you can read more about here: Talk Page Project project page.

The team needs and wants your help at this early stage. They are starting to develop the first idea. Please add your name to the "Getting involved" section of the project page, if you would like to hear about opportunities to participate.

Mobile visual editor

The Editing team is trying to make it simpler to edit on mobile devices. The team is changing the visual editor on mobile. If you have something to say about editing on a mobile device, please leave a message at Talk:VisualEditor on mobile.

Edit Cards

What happens when you click on a link. The new Edit Card is bigger and has more options for editing links.

• On 3 September, the Editing team released version 3 of Edit Cards. Anyone could use the new version in the mobile visual editor.
• There is an updated design on the Edit Card for adding and modifying links. There is also a new, combined workflow for editing a link's display text and target.
• Feedback: You can try the new Edit Cards by opening the mobile visual editor on a smartphone. Please post your feedback on the Edit cards talk page.

Toolbar

The editing toolbar is changing in the mobile visual editor. The old system had two different toolbars. Now, all the buttons are together. Tell the team what you think about the new toolbar.

• In September, the Editing team updated the mobile visual editor's editing toolbar. Anyone could see these changes in the mobile visual editor.
  • One toolbar: All of the editing tools are located in one toolbar. Previously, the toolbar changed when you clicked on different things.
  • New navigation: The buttons for moving forward and backward in the edit flow have changed.
  • Seamless switching: an improved workflow for switching between the visual and wikitext modes.
• Feedback: You can try the refreshed toolbar by opening the mobile VisualEditor on a smartphone. Please post your feedback on the Toolbar feedback talk page.

Wikimania

The Editing Team attended Wikimania 2019 in Sweden. They led a session on the mobile visual editor and a session on the new talk pages project. They tested two new features in the mobile visual editor with contributors. You can read more about what the team did and learned in the team's report on Wikimania 2019.

Looking ahead

• Talk Pages Project: The team is thinking about the first set of proposed changes. The team will be working with a few communities to pilot those changes. The best way to stay informed is by adding your username to the list on the project page: Getting involved.

Vyhľadávanie a diakritika

Len pre info: vďaka aktivite vývojára TJones na skwiki opäť funguje fulltextové vyhľadávanie invariantné voči diakritike.[157][158]. Tzn. napr. dotaz matuska vráti okrem doslovného aj výskyty Matuška, Matúška, atď.

Frázy, ktorým priamo zodpovedá názov niektorej stránky, sú pri kliku na predvolené tl. Ísť na presmerované priamo na dotyčnú stránku (znova bez ohľadu na diakritiku, tzn. aj keď zadám „matuska“, dostanem sa na stránku Matuška). Pokiaľ chce človek takúto frázu vyhľadať (a nie byť rovno presmerovaný na primárny výskyt), treba klikať na tl. Hľadať. --Teslaton (diskusia) 20:41, 29. október 2019 (UTC)

Navrhujem, aby sme konečne ukončili prácu bývalých redaktorov a konečne odstránili parameter {{{názov}}} z navigačnej lišty, keďže už je nahradený parametrom {{{nadpis}}} a už žiadna šablóna/ článok nepoužíva tento parameter. Dobrý deň,

dnes ráno, keď som si prezeral článok o futbalistovi Pavlovi Nedvědovi cez mobil s Androidom, zahlásilo mi, že som navštívil pornografickú stránku a nainštalovalo mi to škodlivú aplikáciu Beauty Snap. Mohli by ste sa na to pozrieť? Ešte sa mi nestalo,že by som na Wikipédii natrafil na vírus.

Za skoré vyriešenie problému ďakujem.

Stránku na Wikipedii nebo nějaký externí odkaz z článku? Nepřijde mně pravděpodobné, že by stránka na Wikipedii obsahovala virus, spíše považuji za nabourané zařízení (nějaká škodlivá aplikace nebo něco podobného). Doporučuji nainstalovat antivirus a důkladně telefon proskenovat. Já používám Kasperského, ale funkcemi je to jedno. Chytrý telefon je nutné chránit jako počítač, nedá se nic dělat. ---OJJ^✉ 08:22, 5. december 2019 (UTC)

Recent changes

• All mobile site users now have new features. Features include: tabs for page/discussion; an expanded user-menu; direct access to history pages. These features were initially part of the "advanced mode".

• There is no new MediaWiki version this week or next week.

Future changes

• You can use setlang in the URL to change the user interface language. This will no longer happen automatically. When you open the link you will be asked to confirm the language change. This will not happen if Javascript is not working in your browser. [173]
