Ako niektoré ďalšie skladby z album, aj „New Angels of Promise“ bola pôvodne napísaná pre počítačovú hru Omikron: The Nomad Soul. Text v počítačovej hre je však troška odlišný od toho, ktorý sa nachádza na album. Pasáž „suspicious minds“ je nahradená iba slovom „omirkon“.
