Translation

Ahoj! Hi Jetam, nothing heard a longer time. I had a big request. In the german Wikipedia exists an article about de:Europa-Forum Wachau. This article is an result from a project with the university in Vienna and the governement in Lower Austria. And you can see we translated it in some languages - it should be added now with urkranian, russian and polish version too. (also in Farsi and egypt. For all these language we have students in our course with these mother tongues. Unfortunately there are missing in slovak and czech language and so I have the request, if it possible that you can transport the origin article from german in slovak and then to make the translation in slovak language. (It's existing also the english version for your easier job ;-) -- Please be so kind and add a new article in the slovak Wikipedia :-) Thanks in advance K@rl 19:03, 3. júl 2017 (UTC)

Thankyou for the help. Perhaps another people can help you. But it should imported the german version too, otherwise, there are a Copyright infringement. @Karl Gruber: Hi Karl. I see no reason to import versions from other wikis, we don't do that when creating translations. The standard solution is to include the {{preklad}} template, linking to a specific foreign wiki article revision, which served as a translation source. Hi Jetam, many thx for this article. Do not have a en:Copyright infringement we transfer also the history from the german version, which is also the base for all the other versions. So there are not problems for you or other users. But it's nothing to do in this case. Has dewiki some extra attribution requirements over CC-BY-SA? @Karl Gruber: So you've decided to just go ahead and force your dewiki approach here via a german steward... That's an interesting level of crosswiki assertivity ;), too bad that the result is quite a mess:

1. in article history, there are now german revisions, mixed with Jetam's slovak ones, as the timespans of two histories were overlaping and revision list is ordered by date. Diffs of such interleaved revisions makes no sense – there are revision pairs now, where next revision is not an evolution of previous one as one would expect, but instead a completely different content in a different language.
2. slovak article was created as a translation from enwiki, not dewiki. So strictly in the sense of continuity, enwiki history was more relevant than dewiki.

Neither license nor local or global policies require or even prefer this approach to attribution. In fact, I'm strongly inclined to hide those imported revisions, intermixed into Jetam's. --Teslaton (diskusia) 08:00, 5. september 2017 (UTC)

Hi together, the source from the english version is also the german version. You can see it here - in the english version there are only the the translation with some small correction. To the extra attribution I would ask de:UserDerHexer because he is the specialist for this matter and perhaps he can answer this question better, also for all his english is better ;-)

in the german wikipedia, and also in many other it is very strong, to importe the history too, otherwise it would be a infringement of copyright from the german version, because a translation is the nearly same as copy and paste. Otherwise it would be in the article itself, where is the source. Source of that "copy and paste" is a free content, licensed as CC-BY-SA. No clause in that license requires this specific kind of attribution (imported history). Hyperlink to source article revision (where a complete history and list of authors is reachable), declared as a translation source, has been traditionally (and still is, as per WP:TFOLWP) considered as enough to fulfil an attribution requirement of CC-BY. Importing of a foreign language histories on each new translation is just a plain overinterpretation. --Teslaton (diskusia) 10:27, 5. september 2017 (UTC)

(answer before editing conflict with the above)I have to agree with Teslaton here. The history is quite a mess. I had thought that the history up to the translation, not afterwards as well. The Sandbox history complicates things a bit more. I did not realize it was not deleted but only blanked. In either case, this kind of attribution is without precedent here (or at least I can not think of any case where the whole history was imported in this way). It is not quite the same. eBay is a well-known, worldwide company. There are sources about it (eventhough our version does not have them in the article). Ahoj. Mohol by si prosím ťa vymazať stránku Pamiatky v Asenovgrade? Rozširoval som dnes stránku Asenovgradu ako takého a tých pamiatok v tom zozname nebolo až tak veľa, ako je napríklad v Plovdivskom, alebo Sofijskom, aby to rušilo nejak článok a tak som to dal priamo do toho hlavného článku o meste. Pridávanie zlých kategórií

@Maajo25: Mohol by som sa spýtať opačne: Prečo neustále odoberáš správne kategórie? V Krčme sme sa o tom bavili; s Teslatonom sme sa prihovorili za špecifickejšie kategórie pre roky+štáty a presnejšie miesto (mesto, štát, provincia). Svoj postoj si neobjasnil. Bolo by dobré ho aspoň vysvetliť. I tak je pomer (momentálne) 2:1 v prospech kategórií a preto opätovne žiadam, aby si ich neostraňoval ak ich už teda nevytváraš.--Jetam2 (diskusia) 03:15, 20. august 2017 (UTC)

Svoj všeobecný postoj k vytváraniu (tvojich) zbytočných kategórií a (tvoje) vkladanie všeobecných kategórií do článkov som objasnil. Je priamo v tej diskusii, iba čo by som sa opakoval. Pre zmenu postoja nemám dôvod. Pomer 2 ku 1 nič neznamená a neskrývaj sa za iného redaktora, on tie zbytočné kategórie nevytvára. Teraz som ti písal ale o inom, a to o vkladaní zlých kategórií, keď si do článku o turnaji nekonanom v Amsterdame opakovane vkladal kategóriu Šport v Amsterdame. --Maajo25 (diskusia) 09:27, 20. august 2017 (UTC)

V tom prípade som zle pochopil "holandskému Amstelveenu (metropolitnej časti Amsterdamu)", že Amstelveen = časť Amsterdamu. Pomer niečo znamená: máme protichodné názory a preto hľadáme vyjadrenia iných redaktorov. Vyjadril sa Teslaton a preto uvázdam jeho názor. Ide predsa o konsenzus, inak sa stále doťahujeme. Z tvojho diskusného príspevku nebolo jasné, že hovoríš o amsterdamskej kategórii. Použil si "kategórie" (plurál).--Jetam2 (diskusia) 12:13, 20. august 2017 (UTC)

@Adtabeta1: Szia! Legfontosabb dolgokat megjavítottam, de folyton kellenének jobb források. Az is probléma volt, hogy szó szerint lemásoltad a szövegeket a weboldalakról (át kellett őket fogalmaznom). Ezt a Wikipédián nem szabad csinálni.
Ahoj! Najdôležitejšie veci som opravil, ale stále by boli potrebné lepšie zdroje. Aj to bol problém, že si doslova skopíroval texty z webových stránok (musel som ich preformulovať). To sa na Wikipédii nesmie. --TomášP ✉ 10:53, 3. september 2017 (UTC)
